Playlist Action Buttons
The Playlist Actions menu button is in the playlist header. On rollover the available playlist actions are displayed. All of the playlist action buttons effect the currently selected playlist only.
The currently available playlist actions are:
New Playlist
Creates a new playlist in the currently selected Playlist Group.
Known Bug: Currently we need to manually sync playlist groups on the backend so if you and a friend share the same playlist group and you add a new playlist, your friend will NOT see the new playlist you added. We need to sync them up manually in the backend. Contact us if you need help with this. Best practice with this is to create all the pLists in a pGroup before you share it.
Export T.csv
A T.csv is a .csv file that was exported from Tethyr. When you click this button Tethyr generates a csv (spreadsheet file) that contains the information of the playlist including the titles and links. This feature is used for the following uses: -Backing up your playlist outside of TYR -Exporting your playlst from TYR to share with a non-TYR user -Exporting your playlist to share with a TYR user -Exporting your playlist to edit and re-import into TYR.
Set as Master
Pressing this button makes your current instance of the playlist the master version of the playlist. Using this function requires that you enter the playlist password. The playlist password is a 4 digit number. When we created your account, in your welcome message we provided the playlist password of all the playlists that you own. If you feel you should have the password but the one you are entering is not working, please contact us.
Update from Master
Pressing this button overwrites the currently selected playlist with the Master version of the playlist. Doing this will erase any changes that you have made to your playlist (including content you imported, reordering, hiding, doting, etc) and load the master version of the playlist.
Auto Update (toggle)
When auto update is turned ON the the playlist will Update from Master every time the page is refreshed. Be careful if you turn this on because any changes you make or content you import will be removed if you navigate off of the playlist. Autoupdate is useful for playlist’s you are subscribed to but not the owner of.
When you create a playlist auto update is turned OFF by default. You edit your playlist and when you want to share it you press “Set as Master”.
When you join / subscribe to a playlist autoupdate is turned ON by default. This way you get all the updates as they become available.
Best Use Master/Update/AutoUpdate: It can be a little confusing but here’s the best way to deal with it. If you are the owner / editor of a playlist you should have the autoupdate turned OFF and Set it as Master when you want to share your changes with your subscribers. If you a subscriber to a playlist you should have autoupdate turned ON and you will get updates when they become available. If you have a playlist that is yours only you should have autoupdate turned OFF because you will accidentally remove content you have added when you navigate away from that playlist and navigate back to it.
Note: Import T.Csv which was previously in this menu has been moved to the import dialogue.
Note: The function “Meta” has been removed from this menu because its functionality is now included in the normal.
